Research
As PhD candidate in the Detox@Home project, I am conducting research into remote monitoring and intervention during the detoxification of addictive substances. This will result in a clinically applicable prototype, which supports practitioners and patients with detoxing in their own living environment. My knowledge and experiences as a Technical Physician and as a software developer come together in this PhD program, where I am supervised by Joanneke van der Nagel and Randy Klaassen.
Within Detox@Home we investigate how technology can be used to make detoxification in the home environment more widely accessible, more effective and less labour-intensive. This research is a collaboration between, among others, the University of Twente, Tactus Addiction Care, Radboud University Medical Center, NISPA, Saxion and Nedap. Read more on Tactus news (NL), ICT&Health (NL), the Saxion website (NL) and the project description on the UT website (EN).
