I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geomatics Engineering at Harran University, Türkiye. My research focuses on geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, UAV photogrammetry, 3D city modelling, and the integration of Building Information Modelling (BIM) with GIS. I apply these methods to cultural heritage documentation, urban and environmental analysis, and natural hazard assessment.
I received my BSc, MSc, and PhD in Geomatics Engineering from Yıldız Technical University. My doctoral research developed an approach for IFC-to-CityJSON conversion to support BIM–GIS integration. Before my appointment as Assistant Professor in January 2025, I worked as a Research Assistant at Harran University from April 2017.
My postdoctoral research at the University of Twente is supported by the TÜBİTAK 2219 International Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Programme. It concerns UAV-based modelling and structural analysis of historic buildings, with a focus on integrating Historic Building Information Modelling (HBIM) and GIS for multi-hazard risk assessment.
Alongside my research, I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in GIS, cartography, spatial analysis, programming, and 3D city modelling, and supervise student research on geospatial technologies and their applications.

Research Interests
My research combines geospatial data acquisition, 3D modelling, and spatial analysis to investigate built and natural environments. I work with UAV imagery, satellite observations, photogrammetric models, and GIS, using machine learning and multi-criteria analysis where appropriate.
My main research interests include:
• BIM–GIS integration, IFC-to-CityJSON conversion, and 3D city modelling.
• UAV and terrestrial photogrammetry for cultural heritage documentation and HBIM.
• Deep learning for object detection and information extraction from aerial and satellite imagery.
• Environmental monitoring, including shoreline change, drought, and urban green spaces.
• GIS-based spatial analysis, multi-criteria decision-making, and risk assessment.
