From designing alloys for bullet casings to engineering transparent conducting oxides for CIGS solar cells, my journey as a researcher has been defined by versatility and a passion for exploring diverse fields. I am now embarking on an exciting endeavor to fabricate lattice structures for use in heat pumps and refrigeration systems, drawing on my multidisciplinary experience to address complex challenges.
Optimization is a universal process—one that begins with defining processing parameters and ends in achieving specific performance criteria for a given application. The path to finding the optimal processing parameters for a specific application is challenging, but I find it deeply rewarding.
Currently, I am refining my approach to enhance elastocaloric devices through laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) and post-printing heat treatments. By re-evaluating and iterating on previous methodologies, I aim to unlock the full potential of these materials, applying lessons from my diverse experiences to innovate and optimize at every stage of the process.
