Dr Irene Petraroli is currently a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellow at ITC-PGM, University of Twente. Her project, Motivation and Engagement in Disaster Mapping in Europe (MEDiME), focuses on social vulnerabilities and hazard mapping in Europe and Japan. Dr Petraroli holds a PostDoc and PhD from the Environmental Education Laboratory at Kyoto University and an MPhil degree from Oxford University. Her work focuses on the crisis capabilities and vulnerabilities of immigrant groups, local communities, and gender issues.
