I. Struzhko (Ivan)

PhD Candidate

About Me

My name is Ivan Struzhko.

I was born in Mariupol (Ukraine) in the 1991 year.

In 2009 I graduated Mariupol City Technological Lyceum and entered Pryazovskyi State Technical University (Mariupol).

And 6 years later, in 2015 I received a master’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics with honours. M.Sc. research was "Impact of the high-frequency voltage components on the cable line operation", during that study the events with kHz-range harmonics occurrence in the medium-voltage grids were analyzed and the impact of the high-frequency voltage components on the cable line operation was investigated.

From 2015 to 2019 I worked as an Electric and Power Energy Engineer at the Armavirskiy Machine-Building Plant. My main responsibility was providing the operation, maintenance, repair and retrofitting of the electrical and power equipment as well as heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems along with air- and gas- communications.

In 2019 I and my wife returned to Mariupol and I worked at the Pryazovskyi State Technical University as a teaching assistant and I entered as PhD student.

Furthermore from September 2020 to May 2021 I worked as a physics teacher at Mariupol City Technological Lyceum.

And from 1st October 2021 I'm a PhD student and employer at the University of Twente, EEMCS-PE department.

Research

A short summary of my M.Sc. research:

"Impact of the high-frequency voltage components on the cable line operation"

1. Events with kHz-range harmonics occurrence in the medium-voltage grids were analyzed.
2. Impact of the high-frequency voltage components on the cable line operation was investigated.

A short summary of my PhD research in Ukraine:

"Development of methods and techniques for comprehensive condition monitoring and diagnostics of capacitors at the distorted voltage waveform"

1. A special module for on-line condition monitoring of the dc-link capacitors at the distorted voltage waveform was developed.
2. Combined influence of the humidity and temperature on the dc-link film capacitors reliability indices was investigated.
