I obtained my bachelor degree in chemistry, with a focus on crime science, in 2014 at Saxion university of applied science. During my bachelor I performed an internship at the forensic crime unit of the national police. The bachelor thesis research was performed at the university of Twente on fabricating anti-bacterial polyester.
After finishing my bachelor thesis, I enrolled in the pre-master for chemical engineering at the university of Twente. Subsequently obtaining my master degree in October of 2018. The master thesis research focused on obtaining slippery stainless steel surfaces by the use of zwitterionic polymer brushes.
In November 2018 I joined the Membrane Surface Science (MSuS) group. During this PhD project I will work on polyelectrolyte multilayer membranes designed for micro-pollutant removal from waste water and surface water streams.
