My field of expertise is coastal sediment transport and morphology. I try to unravel coastal sediment processes through a combination of field measurements, lab experiments and numerical modeling. My part-time job at Deltares allows me to utilize this knowledge in world-wide applied research and consultancy projects.

Hydralab+ (2015-2019)
Adaptation for Climate Change
Large EU experimental hydraulic research project with over 30 partners from universities, research institutes and industry. My work focused on mixed sediments, in particular full-scale wave flume experiments and sand transport modeling.
SINBAD (2011-2016)
Sand Transport under Irregular and Breaking Waves Conditions
SANTOSS (2005-2010)
Sand Transport in Oscillatory Flows in the Sheet-flow Regime
