As Community Manager of the Citizen Science Hub Eastern Netherlands, I operate at the heart of the 'Quadruple Helix.' My role is to bridge four worlds that are essential for sustainable innovation: academia, policy makers, industry, and civil society.
I focus on connecting these stakeholders to tackle complex societal challenges in the Eastern Netherlands. My approach is grounded in extensive expertise in Action Research and Design Research. Rather than implementing top-down solutions, I facilitate processes driven by co-creation and collective intelligence.
This role requires the ability to switch between different professional domains and cultures. I developed this skill through a non-linear career path: from applied physics through the arts to entrepeneurship, educational innovation and research (including the Smart Cities lectorate). This background defines me as a 'boundary crosser': I combine the analytical mindset of a researcher with the pragmatic, creative approach needed to align diverse interests.
