I am a PhD candidate in Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Futures at the University of Bergamo (Italy), visiting the IEMS department at the University of Twente from November 2026 to April 2027. My research focuses on decision-making under uncertainty for battery energy storage, with uncertain electricity prices and demand. I have developed rolling horizon policies and studied their worst-case performance. During my visit, working with Prof. Stephan Meisel, I am developing learning-based policies using value function approximation and reinforcement learning, and comparing them with rolling horizon policies on real data from the Italian electricity market.

Research interests: stochastic optimization, sequential decision-making under uncertainty, reinforcement learning, energy systems.
