Welcome...

Dr. habil. K. Kruse (Karsten)

Lecturer

About Me

I joined the Department of Applied Mathematics as a lecturer in September 2023. After studying mathematics (2004-2010) and obtaining my PhD at the University of Oldenburg (2010-2014), I was a postdoc at the Hamburg University of Technology (2014-2023) where I completed my Habilitation in mathematics in 2022. During my time as a postdoc, I also worked as an adjunct lecturer at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences.

My research interests lie in the realm of Functional Analysis and its applications, among others partial differential equations, abstract Cauchy problems, semigroup theory and the theory of locally convex spaces. Besides, I am also interested in e-learning and e-assessment in mathematics.
