Klaasjan Visscher is full professor and chair of Innovation in Higher Education & Society. He has a background in ‘Industrial Engineering & Management’ and ‘Philosophy of Science, Technology & Society’ and obtained his Ph.D. at the University of Twente. Klaasjan is an engaged teacher and an educational innovator. He works on transdisciplinary education and studies innovation processes in organizations, ecosystems and society, in particular in the field of higher education. Klaasjan won a Comenius teaching and senior fellowship and obtained funds for various research and innovation projects. His work has been published in academic journals and books.

Klaasjan is head of the Knowledge, Transformation & Society section (KiTeS). Besides, he is scientific co-director for Educational Innovation of DesignLab and Programme Director of the Transdisciplinary master-insert 'Shaping Responsible Futures', which won the Dutch Higher Education Award. Klaasjan is also co-chair of the ComeniusNetwork.
