I began my PhD in the fall of 2024 working on the Horizon Europe funded Innovation Action project SpongeWorks: Co-creating and Upscaling Sponge Landscapes by Working with Natural Water Retention and Sustainable Management. My research is within the Climate Reslient Infrastructure Systems (CRIS) group, a part of the Department of Civil Engineering and Management. My PhD research is titled: Rethinking River Basin Management: Justice through Socio-Ecological-Technical Perspectives.

I originally come from the U.S. where I completed my Master’s degree at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. My master's research focused on science-policy production pathways in transboundary watersheds and, following the completion of my degree, I worked for several years at a river basin organization, the Connecticut River Conservancy. My work within this position focused on river restoration, community science and advocacy efforts for the Massachusetts portion of the multi-state watershed.
