After graduating in philosophy (BA) at the University of Groningen in 2018, Laura came to the University of Twente to study a Double Degree program consisting of the MSc Philosophy of Science, Technology and Society, and the MSc Public Administration.
As of October 2020, Laura started as a PhD candidate at the UT in the BMS faculty. Her project was designed within the framework of the BMS signature grants, which are aimed at stimulating interdisciplinary research. Her project focuses on the emergence of the use of algorithms and AI in HRM, known as Algorithmic Management, in relation to the philosophical concept of human dignity.
Laura's research has an interdisciplinary character and integrates HRM research with the fields of Philosophy and Public Administration. She is supervised by Prof. dr. ir. Mieke Boon (Philosophy), Dr. Giedo Jansen (Public Administration) and Dr. Jeroen Meijerink (IEBIS).
