Luc Wismans is External Professor Transport Data Science as part of  Transport Studies since August 2026 and also CTO for Goudappel. Before that he was already associated with the University of Twente. His PhD research, finished in 2012, carried out part time, focused on the dynamic multi objective network design problem in which the externalities of traffic are the objectives and dynamic traffic management measures the decision variables. Luc is co-chair of the ICT cluster of the international scientific NECTAR network, member of the Intelligent Mobility – Management and Operation committee of the European Transport Conference and member of the advisory board of Connekt. With hisexpertise on Smart Mobility/Intelligent Transport Systems, transport modeling and data analysis he works and has been working on a variety of innovative solutions and (research) projects.
