L.K. Staal MSc (Lotte)

I have a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, where I focused on operations management in health care. With enthusiasm for research in health care, I chose to do a master’s degree in Health Sciences (cum laude), focused on health economic modelling and optimisation of health care processes.

Currently, my research focuses on the health economic impact of new innovations in the care for patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis, with the aim to create a more personalized treatment, with a focus on data analysis and health economic modelling. This research is within the UCAN CAN-DU study.
