About Me

In my PhD research, I focus on river dune evolution under high and low flow. The reserach aims to better understand the processes in the growth and breakdown of river dunes under varying flow and implement this knowledge in a dune evolution model. In this research low flow conditions have a special interest.

Next to my research topic, I am also interested in other processes that play a role within and around our rivers. Such as large scale morphological development and the influence human interventions in the river system. Also modelling, of both the hydraulics and morphology, has my special interest.
