I'm a PhD candidate supervised by Clara Stegehuis (University of Twente) and Gianmarco Bet (University of Florence). I am working on the behavior of node2vec random walks on (random) graphs. My main interest is in probability theory, more specifically in random walks, random graphs, percolation and invariance principles.

Behavior of node2vec random walks

We study the behavior of node2vec random walks, which are tuneable random walks whose transitions also depend on the local structure of the graph and the previous visited node, on (random) graphs. For now we are interested in the stationary distribution and the mixing time on different graph models.

These random walks are used to sample neighborhoods of nodes in the popular feature learning algorithm node2vec which embeds a network into a d-dimensional feature space.
