November 1st 2019, Maaike Koenrades (PhD at RaM and M3i groups) defended her thesis at the University of Twente entitled "On evaluating stent–artery interaction in abdominal aortic stent grafting - an in-depth analysis of longitudinal and pulsatility related behavior" and received her PhD with distinction cum laude.

Maaike performed research related to the geometrical interaction between stent grafts used for aneurysm treatment and the arterial anatomy (official press release). She is currently still involved in the continuation of the research project in an advisory role and she is involved in educational activities for Technical Medicine.
