I am an Assistant Professor in Communication Science, driven by a passion for using communication as a catalyst for societal transformation and promoting educational equity. My research and teaching focus on how strategic communication and media can effect meaningful change across communities. With a background in Human-Computer Interaction, I examine how communication and technology intersect to develop solutions that have a broad societal impact.

My current research centers on creating strategies to address xenophobia and enhance equity through persuasive and crisis communication. I also explore how narrative communication techniques can be improved to better support individuals with disabilities, aiming to make information more accessible and engaging in diverse contexts.

In my teaching, I emphasize building an inclusive environment that nurtures independent thinking and personal growth. I am committed to helping students discover their unique voices and develop critical thinking skills, driven by a dedication to reflective and lifelong learning. Additionally, I work on innovative strategies to support neurodiverse learners, ensuring that educational practices are both effective and equitable.

Overall, my work is motivated by the belief in communication’s power to drive positive societal change and advance progress.
