About Me
I am Assistant Professor in Land and Urban Economics at the University of Twente / Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC). I bring an economic perspective to the understanding of urban and land development processes, considering their social and ecological values and impacts. My expertise stretches through a broad variety of topics such as environmental economics, the major natural disasters and their impact on modern economies, sustainable transportation, urban nature-based solutions, urban inequalities, economic value and valuation of environmental goods and services, resilience and climate adaptation. My core mission is to initiate, acquire and implement new research, education and consulting projects, adding an economic perspective that will contribute to a broader and more successful project portfolio.
