Marcio Cezarini Borges is a PhD candidate in Industrial Engineering at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) and visiting researcher at the University of Twente, with research focus on the financialisation of purchasing.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, postgraduate degree in Business Administration and in Project Management (FGV - Fundação Getúlio Vargas), and a Master's degree in Business Administration (University of São Paulo).
He brings 18 years of professional experience, having held leadership roles in Financial Planning, New Business Development, Capex Management, and Market Intelligence at companies such as Raízen, a Shell joint venture in Brazil, and Brookfield Asset Management. Since 2021, he has been delivering corporate training, lecturing in Finance and Purchasing at PUC Minas University, and teaching the Cost Management module in BRevi2, the NEVI2 education in Brazil. He is co-author of the book "Finanças para compras" (Finance for Procurement).
