Faazil Fairooz is a PhD researcher at the University of Twente, focusing on increasing transfer capacity in electricity distribution networks. His work is part of the IDLEC project in collaboration with Liander, where he investigates the challenges and opportunities in implementing Dynamic Line Rating (DLR) and dynamic asset limits. His research integrates technical, organizational, regulatory, and economic perspectives, making use of frameworks such as TECCO and Root Cause Analysis to validate industry challenges and improve grid decision-making.
Alongside his academic work, Faazil has over ten years of professional experience in electrical engineering and power systems.
