Thank you for visiting my website. I am currently a researcher at the University of Twente (NL) mainly working on laser-induced forward transfer (LIFT) for use in 3D printing of functional materials under Dr ir G.R.B.E. Römer at the Chair of Laser Processing of the MS3 department (Engineering Technology faculty).

Before, I was a research fellow under the supervision of Prof Rob W Eason working on laser-assisted subtractive, additive and modifying micro-fabrication techniques at the Optoelectronics Research Centre, Southampton (U.K.). I graduated (Dipl.-Ing.) in electronics engineering from Universität Stuttgart (Germany) and in telecommunications (MSc) from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC, Spain), studying the passivation of silicon solar cells for my dissertation under supervision of Isidro Martin, Ramon Alcubilla and Markus Schubert (IPV, Universität Stuttgart).

I obtained a PhD degree in Photonics from the Optoelectronics Research Centre at the University of Southampton with a thesis titled ‘Laser-induced forward transfer of intact, solid-phase inorganic materials’.

My main research interest is in the field of thin film technology and laser-matter interaction, and I have worked both in industrial and academic environments to develop solutions for electronic, photonic and biomedical devices.

For the pronounciation of my name, please have a look here.
