I work as a clinical epidemiologist in Medisch Spectrum Twente. As an epidemiologist I supervise master students, medical specialists in training, medical specialists, nurse practitioners, nurses and physiotherapists in designing their study, performing their statistical analyses and/or writing their thesis, scientific publications or congress abstracts. Furthermore, I am the chairman of the scientific committee of MST.
My PhD trajectory was on treatment and outcome of COPD exacerbations and during my PhD I designed and coordinated a large single centre COPD cohort with 3 years of follow up (COMIC cohort) on predictors for COPD morbidity and mortality and on adherence to inhaled medication.
