Research profiles

My name is Muhammad Hadi Saputra, and I am pursuing my PhD at the University of Twente. My academic journey has been shaped by a deep commitment to understanding the complexities of forestry, land management, and environmental sustainability.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Forestry from Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in 2010, where I specialized in tree improvement, particularly focusing on species with economic value. This foundation provided me with a strong understanding of how to enhance the growth and sustainability of valuable tree species through improved genetic selection and cultivation techniques.

In 2018, I completed my Master’s degree at both the Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB) and Hiroshima University. My research concentrated on the impact of climate and land cover changes on valuable tree species using a species distribution model. This work deepened my knowledge of how environmental factors like climate change affect the distribution and survival of economically and ecologically important tree species.

Now, as a PhD student, I continue to explore these areas to contribute to sustainable forestry practices and environmental conservation.
