Marjolein Prenger studied Educational Sciences at the University of Groningen. After a two-year additional study, she became an Orthopedagoog Generalist NVO. She worked in the clinical field for 10 years in both diagnostics and treatment. She had a focus on developmental problems in children and adolescents with disabilities and extensive problem behavior. Marjolein now holds the position of internship coordinator and lecturer within the Department of Psychology, Health and Technology. She has developed a reflection module for students with meditation and autobiographical writing techniques. Well-being for students and staff is a focus area of hers, UT wide. She is currently developing a Well-being Minor that will likely start in September 2023. She also owns Practice Fiducie, a company for Mindfulness training and Positive Psychology programs in schools. She is author of the book Doe's Lief, a compassion training program for children ages 8-13.
