Mohammadreza (Mohammad) Aghdaee is a PhD candidate at the University of Twente. His current research is about designing and constructing novel plasmonic nanostructures to study single molecule dynamics. This involves enhancing interactions between light and matter and probing this interaction using spectroscopic techniques. Mohammad started his PhD in the Dynamic Nanophotonics group under the supervision of Dr. Oluwafemi Ojambati in 2021.

Mohammad received his BSc in optics and laser engineering from the Urmia University of Technology, Iran in 2018. Upon completing his bachelor's, he continued his studies at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS), Iran. At IASBS, Mohammad developed surface plasmon resonance biosensors based on structured light. He graduated from IASBS and received an MSc in photonics in 2021.
