I work on material-, manufacturing-, and battery testing-related research questions in battery cell production, with a strong background in electrochemistry. My research addresses the full battery cell manufacturing chain, from materials processing to cell performance evaluation and quality assessment.

I coordinate and manage research activities within the Research Platform for Battery Production, including sustainable cathode slurries, slurry scaling and characterization, slot-die coating and drying processes, calendering, and cell assembly with a focus on 5 Ah-pouch cells. My work further includes formation, finishing, and electrochemical testing of battery cells.

I also coordinate and support colleagues working on cross-cutting topics such as process and technology development, AI-, ML-, and TL-based methods, smart industry concepts, sensor and measurement systems, laser-based processes, and related enabling technologies, with the aim of enabling structured, reliable, and application-oriented interdisciplinary research.

In addition to research activities, I contribute to the strategic development, setup, and continuous expansion of the battery cell pilot line. This includes aligning technical capabilities with research objectives and long-term development goals.
