Sattari has begun his doctoral studies since September 2019 at the University of Twente, working on the thermo-fluid and solidification microstructure modeling of laser-assisted powder-based directed energy deposition (L-DED) of large scale metallic components, aiming at studying the effect of the laser beam intensity profile.

He received his second master's degree from the Ecole Nationale d'Ingenieurs de Brest, France, working on the fatigue behavior of Shape Memory Alloys. He also received his first master's degree from Isfahan University of Technology, Iran, working on the wear analysis of Shape Memory Alloys.
