I am a PhD candidate in the Psychology of Conflict, Risk and Safety section, working in close collaboration with the research consortium Adapt!, which focuses on preparing societies for future crises. My research explores trust-building strategies that aim to enhance societal resilience during escalated crisis encounters, as well as effective approaches to de-escalate such dynamics. I place particular emphasis on the role of dynamic one-on-one interactions between authority figures and citizens, and how these encounters can foster well-being, social cohesion, and institutional trust. Through this work, I aim to generate practical insights that support effective crisis intervention and contribute to safer, more resilient communities.
