About Me

Moozhan is currently a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow at the University of Twente, working on a project titled 'Supporting Creative Minds in Urban Planning (SEMINAL)'. Her background is in urban planning and spatial analysis. Since 2012, she has been researching the nature and role of digital tools in decision-making processes in urban planning. She received her PhD in urban planning at the University of Manchester in 2017 with a dissertation on games and their role in participatory planning practices.

Her research interest lies at the intersection of decision science, media studies, and design and focuses on understanding the role of communication media and technologies in our collective decision-making and problem-solving processes. In her previous research projects, she has explored the role and structure of our collective problem-solving processes and mechanisms by which communication media are designed, developed, and adopted.
