In 2016, I graduated from the Bachelor programme in Psychology at the University of Twente. Then, I started the Master track: Health Psychology & Technology, also at the UT. During my internship at Medisch Spectrum Twente, I conducted a qualitative study on the patient perspective on the impact of fatigue on the daily life of COPD patients. I wrote my Master thesis about this topic and ultimately we published these important results in a scientific article. At that moment, my interest in conducting research about the needs and wishes of patients, the impact of chronic illnesses on quality of life and the self-management of these diseases was sparked.
Therefore, after my graduation, I started working as a junior researcher and lecturer Health Psychology & Technology. I have worked on a project about user involvement in health research and the development of eHealth interventions. In the past year I supervised various bachelor and master students and guided them in writing their theses. Currently, I am teaching multiple modules in the Bachlor programme in Psychology at the University of Twente. Educating students about systematic intervention design and health psychology, supervising them during their projects and helping them develop and improve their personal, professional and academic skills.
