Marc is a researcher currently pursuing a PhD degree at the University of Twente, with a research focus on the synthesis of membranes incorporating carbon particles to improve the efficiency of dialysis treatments. His aim is to explore innovative materials and techniques to enhance the performance of dialysis membranes, and his work involves synthesizing, characterizing, and testing these materials through lab-based experiments.

Prior to starting his PhD, Marc completed his BSc in Chemistry at the University of Barcelona in 2020, followed by his MSc in Chemical Engineering from the same university, which he finished in 2023. During his master's program, he had the opportunity to study at the University of Twente as an Erasmus student and conducted his master's thesis research in the AOT (BAO) research group, where he gained valuable experience in the field.

Marc's research interests are at the intersection of materials science, chemistry, and biomedical engineering. He is passionate about exploring new ideas and approaches to address pressing medical challenges, and is committed to advancing the field of dialysis treatment and contributing to the development of innovative solutions that can make a difference in patients' lives.
