I am a senior researcher in the Inorganic Membranes Group (IM), specializing in nanoscale and hybrid nanomaterials for applications in harsh environments, including industrial organic solvents and organic solvent/water mixtures at elevated temperatures. Following my education in analytical chemistry (HBO), I worked as a research assistant in the IM group. After completing my PhD in 2012 on the development of ceramic hollow fiber membranes, I conducted confidential research projects for various industrial partners.
My current research is focused on the development of ceramic and hybrid nanofiltration membranes using Atmospheric Molecular Layer Deposition (MLD).
