I am currently a PhD candidate in Philosophy of Technology & Psychoanalysis at the BMS faculty. My bachelor was in Media- and Filmstudies (Utrecht University) and my masters in the Philosophy of Technology, Science and Society (University of Twente).
My PhD-project focusses on what sex robots illuminate about sexual subjectivity, how sexual subjectivity can be mediated by sex robots and whether this mediation is desirable. To answer this question I make use of a psychoanalytic perspective, more specifically of the work of Jacques Lacan, which I read through a queer and existentialist lens.
My office is located in the Ravelijn building: RA-4278.
