I am an Assistant Professor in Humanitarian Engineering within the chair of Asset Management & Maintenance Engineering at the Design, Production and Management department at the University of Twente.

I hold a BSc in International Business Administration and an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management, and I completed my PhD on project complexities, systems thinking, and decision-making in inter-organizational projects at the University of Twente.

My previous research has focused on decision-making, lived complexities, systems thinking, and design principles. Currently, I am involved in projects related to participatory video with marginalized communities, design for social justice in humanitarian engineering environments, risks faced by frontline workers, and inclusive vocational STEM education in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA).

My research interests lie in the Humanitarian Engineering track, particularly in design for social justice and equity, with a focus on participatory design approaches and understanding system dynamics in culturally diverse environments.

I am currently developing a minor program in Humanitarian Engineering and contributing to the curriculum development team for the MSc programme in Humanitarian Engineering.

In addition to my academic work, I serve as a board member of Edubox, an NGO that facilitates self-contained learning environments for underserved and marginalized communities.
