My name is Oumayma, I am an architect and PhD researcher at the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC), University of Twente. My research focuses on inclusive urban design and how computational representations can support the comparison of alternative urban configurations.I explore how relationships between people’s functional capabilities and the built environment can be represented to assess pedestrian accessibility. Through this work, I aim to help planners understand how design decisions affect people with different needs and abilities. My interests span spatial design, digital twins, planning support systems and the role of digital tools in shaping more inclusive cities.

My research explores how urban environments can better accommodate people with diverse needs and abilities. I focus on representing human–environment relationships in computational models to assess pedestrian accessibility and compare alternative urban configurations, supporting more inclusive planning and design.
