Petra C. de Weerd-Nederhof PhD is Full Professor of Organization Studies and Innovation at the Faculty of Behavioural, Management and Social Sciences (BMS). De Weerd-Nederhof supervises at present 6 PhD candidates and 1 PDEng with topics ranging from Innovation Ecosystems to Resilience in Entrepreneurial Teams, Organising Integrity and Block Chain Technology in the Health sector. She teaches in the Business & Society Module for the BSc Advanced Technology Module, I&E Basics for EIT Digital master students, and is core teacher of 2 modules in de master Risk Management (Organising Risk Management; Innovation & Risk Management. Her research concerns Resilience and (Organising) Innovation. She obtained an NWO grant for a proposal in cooperation with Nyenrode University, TNXTO, BoP INC and TNO on Distributed Business models for Inclusive Business Value Chains (2018-2020) and is UT-lead for the 3-year EFRO program Project Space53, a 50-50 collaboration with Saxion University of Applied Sciences. She is working with the Defense Academy to set up research and teaching on Innovation and Business Development in the Security/Safety chain, and with Flanders Business School to develop joint Entrepreneurial MBA modules. Last but not least, she is a member of the UT University Council and chairs the Exam Committee of the Honours programmes.
