About Me

Petra C. de Weerd-Nederhof PhD holds the chair of Organization Studies and Innovation at the Faculty of Behavioural, Management and Social Sciences (BMS) of the University of Twente (UT) and is Head of Department at NIKOS, UT’s research group for Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Innovation Management. De Weerd-Nederhof supervises at present 5 PhD studies with topics ranging from Innovation Ecosystems to University-Industry Interaction, leads UT’s MSc Research Honours track and teaches Organisation Theory and Design in the first year TOP module of the International Business Administration BSc programme. Her new research concerns Resilience and Innovation. She obtained an NWO grant for a proposal in cooperation with Nyenrode University, TNXTO, BoP INC and TNO on Distributed Business models for Inclusive Business Value Chains (2018-2020), is UT-lead for the EFRO program Project Space53 and is working closely with NovelT to establish UT’s Centre for Entrepreneurship.
