My name is Jowi Miranda. I am a PhD Graduate in Marine and Fluvial Systems.

I am a Filipino Coastal Engineer who has been working in industry for 6 years and spent 2020-2022 obtaining my Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Delaware. Here at the University of Twente, I will be working on practical sand-mud morphology modeling under the SEDIMARE project.

Research profiles

SEDIMARE - Sediment Transport and Morphodynamics in Marine and Coastal Waters with Engineering Solutions

The objective of the SEDIMARE Network is interdisciplinary training and award of a PhD degree to researchers in the coastal processes and engineering. The aim is the sustainable use of the coastal environment and its protection.

The Network focused training-through-research in complex sediment transport processes. My training will focus on the practical morphological modeling of sand-mud mixtures.
