About Me
I am a Biomedical Engineer, MSc, and presently, a PhD Candidate in the Department of Biomechanical Engineering at the University of Twente. My research work lies in the field of orthopedic biomechanics, particularly including medical imaging and musculoskeletal modeling of the lower extremity towards personalizing total knee arthroplasty and optimizing surgical outcomes. Next to that, I have been engaged in testing lower-extremity orthoses, setting up a research line related to the biomechanical effects of abduction braces for the management of hip dislocations following total hip arthroplasty. Besides, I contribute to the biomedical community development by being the founder and leader of Biomedical Engineering Group Twente; the first biomedical engineering meetup established in the Netherlands, counting now more than 5 research events and 120 members.
