Q.C.V. Tran MSc (Cao Vinh)

Cao Vinh (Kevin) Tran is a PhD candidate in the Pervasive Systems Research Group at the University of Twente. He received a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineer from Ho Chi Minh University of Technology in Vietnam. His specialization is sensing technology, embedded systems and the Internet of Things. Before applying for the PhD candidate, he had worked for ten years designing smart sensing devices and four years developing IoT solutions for electric power distribution.

Kevin currently researches efficient methods to monitor the health of PVC pipes in drinking water distribution. In general, his research involves sensing systems, embedded devices and machine learning applied in water pipelines.
