About Me
After being trained as a Civil Engineer (BSc) at the Delft University of Technology, I specialised in Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources Management through a double degree program (MSc) at the Delft University of Technology and the National University of Singapore. My main research interest is the morphological evolution of shorelines and the role of engineering solutions therein. Both during my MSc and in the first 3 years thereafter (as Research Associate at the Leibniz University in Hannover, Germany) I focused on the morphological evolution of sandy beaches. In my current position as PhD Candidate at the University of Twente, I will focus on the morphological evolution of mangrove shorelines.
