I have a background in theoretical aerodynamics with a PhD-degree in aeronautical engineering, and worked at the national aerospace laboratory NLR for 13 years on hypersonic aerothermodynamics. Currently I am working on biomedical fluid mechanics with applications in blood flow through arteries and heart-lung machines, and airflow during non-invasive ventilation therapy. In addition I work on flows with non-equilibrium condensation and wave phenomena in wave guides like arteries.

My motto is: ENGINEERS MAKE IT WORK.
