I am a lecturer in Communication Science, where my teaching focuses on the intersection of technological innovation, societal change, and stakeholder communication.
In 2025, I obtained my PhD with the dissertation Telling the Transition: Citizen perspectives and communication approaches in the Dutch energy transition. My research centers on how citizens experience and interpret large-scale transitions, and how communication, particularly narrative forms of communication, can either foster or hinder public engagement. Methodologically, I have a broad interest in a variety of approaches, including automated big data media analysis, Q-methodology, qualitative interviews, surveys, and experiments.
