I'm currently a PhD student in the Advanced Organ Bioengineering and Therapeutics group (AOT) at the University of Twente. I obtained my bachelor's degree in Biotechnology at the University of Ferrara (Italy) and my master's degree in Molecular and Industrial Biotechnology at the University of Bologna (Italy).
Organisations
Currently working on the NXTGEN project.
My research aims to advance hemodialysis technology by developing hollow fiber membranes that enhance bioocompatibility while maintaining crucial filtration properties for efficient toxin removal. This research can potentially improve the quality of life for kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis and drive the development of wearable artificial kidney devices.
