Rajath Raj (commonly known as RAJ) is a PhD candidate in Manufacturing Systems at the University of Twente. He holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Manufacturing domain from Linköping University, Sweden, and a Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering from India.

With over three years of professional experience, Raj has worked as a Virtual Manufacturing Engineer and Extended - Reality Engineer, contributing to both automotive and industrial sectors. His expertise lies in integrating cutting-edge digital technologies into manufacturing environments.

Currently, his doctoral research focuses on Digital Methods and Tools for Innovative Factory Planning.” His work explores advanced Digital Manufacturing solutions, including process modeling and simulation, factory layout planning, capacity and resource optimization, facility design, and the use of Virtual Reality to enable interactive and collaborative design environments.
