ET-DPM-SEMD

My name is Roy van Zijl (1998, the Netherlands) and I'm a researcher in the Systems Engineering and Multidisciplinary Design group. I started my Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering here at the University of Twente back in 2015, and acquired my Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Design Engineering) in 2021. In 2024, I acquired my Engineering Doctorate at the University of Twente for my research into and development of technological advancements for professional cleaning and how these can be implemented within that sector.

My current research/design focuses on the multidisciplinary facets of technological advancements in the aviation industry. Herein, I specialize in the development of Battery Modules for use in a fully battery powered commercial aircraft. My overall goal is to use high tech engineering in such a way that it can positively influence and ease the lives of many people.
