Dr. Sarah A. Kusumastuti is an Assistant Professor in Human-AI interaction and data science at the University of Twente’s Faculty of Behavioural, Management AND Social Sciences (BMS). Her research focuses on the intersection of judgment and decision making, experimental psychology, simulations, psychological measurement, and general quantitative social science methods to approach problems related to human factors, risk perception, decision analysis, transportation and human-computer interaction. She employs behavioural experiments, simulation methods, and decision-analytic modelling to explore how people make decisions under uncertainty and/or interact with automated systems. Her research has been published in journals such as Transportation Research Interdisciplinary Perspectives, IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, and Journal of Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis. She holds a Ph.D. in Quantitative Psychology from the University of Southern California.
