About Me
Selin Ayas is Lecturer at the department of Psychology, Health and Technology. She received her PhD at the Middle East Technical University (METU), Psychological Counseling and Guidance program. Her dissertation was entitled: ‘Examining individual, relational, and environmental dynamics of adolescent internet use: A mixed methods study”. As a psychologist she is interested in emotionally focused therapy and individual (Adlerian) counseling approaches. Her research interests are psychosocial dynamics of internet use, preventive interventions for problematic internet use and subjective well-being.
