S. Brands MSc (Sietse)

My name is Sietse Brands, formerly a primary school teacher and research assistent and currently a PhD candidate in educational science.

I'm part of the GoPro Learning Communities project, situated in the domain of vocational education and training (VET). VET students in this context constantly switch between their school and their job. My research focuses on helping students connect the knowledge and experiences they gain in these two contexts. For this, we use an educational intervention based on video-recorded instances of practice. With these videos, we aim to support reflection. Specifically, we study different supports for video-based reflection.
